Jacks Run drains a large part of the watershed and is located in the middle of the watershed.
The Sewickley Creek Watershed Association has initially embarked on a series of stream
bank stabilization projects utilizing biologs and planting natural biotic species along
the banks to help keep sediment from entering the stream. Jack dams have also been constructed
to minimize bank erosion and provide necessary pools for fish.
Remediation of AMD in this region is on the table for future action by the Association.
