Middle School Science Fair Projects such as Chris Ansell Jr.’s
project-the viability of trout fingerlings in discharge water at the
entrance of the Lowber passive remediation site and at its exit. (Note
the findings of his project were that the trout species died in the
entrance of the treatment facility and lived in water after the
passive treatment).
Greensburg Middle School Students have been busy constructing
butterfly gardens at Lynch Field and preparing mulched trails at the
site.

The Association has also held Earth Day poster and essay contests for
students enrolled within the watershed. The Posters have been
displayed at Westmoreland County Community College.
